A Word of Welcome

No surprise you have decided to stay with us in the Royal Borough of Kensington, where the star of Bohemian Rhapsody Freddie Mercury and Formula 1 champion James Hunt once used to live. Our story dates back to 1950s, when my father started a hospitality business on Holland Road.

Travelling was expensive and customers in those days were mainly people of business. They were our regular guests and many of them became our good friends. From the very early period of my youth I would only see friends among our customers. We knew them; their families, their favourite food and the pub they preferred. After taking over the family business I was told by many people around me to sell it, yet I knew that this place had too much history to be sold.
Half a century has passed since then, but ‘Guests are our Friends’ formula is still our core value. We therefore provide the service, comfort and cleanliness that our guests from 1950s would get.
Many of the hospitality industry businesses aggressively use complicated algorithms, social media and data collection technologies to provide personalised experience to their clients. Our customers do not want to be manipulated by data, but rather to be taken care of. For that reason, instead of using cold computer algorithms, we use something much older and more effective; human relationship. We talk to our guests and listen to them; we guide them and help to make the most of their stay in London.

As an architect, I decided to personally direct the renovation of the building in order to preserve the soul of the place.

We work exclusively with Airbnb, where both our guests and us expect direct communication throughout thier stay.
